Automatic profile and cross-cut saws:
Cut by cut in a class of its own
The Briganto profile and cross-cut saw delivers efficient, low-burr cutting of profiles and bars with zero set-up time, using advanced technology and a user-friendly touchscreen for quick, high-quality results.
What are the recommended uses for the Briganto profile and crosscut saw?
Precise and automated cutting of profiles fabricated from aluminum and other non-ferrous metals
Flexible cutting center for metal distributors
Highly productive trimming and cutting line for aluminum profile mills
This makes the Briganto CrossCut outstanding
More productivity and efficiency
Sawing multiple aluminum pieces at once, both side by side and stacked on top of one another. From thin-walled profiles to solid round bars. A material- and saw blade related recipe database optimizes the cutting parameters and controls everything with just a few clicks.
Maximum flexibility
The CrossCut handles various materials—from thin-walled profiles of different shapes to heavy solid stock—without retooling. This saves time and costs.
Highest precision in dimensional length and squareness
High-tech measuring systems deliver precise cutting results. You save valuable material and reduce costs.
Clean cut edges thanks to low burr sawing
A automatic controlled saw blade protrusion and perfectly adjusted parameters ensure low burr cutting surfaces. This means less post-processing, closer cut tolerances and lower risk of injury.
Material protection
A soft plastic surface protects the material and prevents scratches.

How does the CrossCut work?
Buffer-based and magazine loading
enables dynamic feeding
The material is loaded and aligned against the squaring rail and measured – fully automatically on request. With the CrossCut, you can process different profiles and bars at the same time – without any set-up effort.
High-precision transport to cutting positions
A solid pressure beam holds the material vertically – here, too, there is no need for set-up. The cutting parameters for an exact material cut are specified by the machine. The removal process is careful to preserve the integrity of the material, and the cut sections are efficiently buffered to ensure optimal results. Reusable material and trim products are automatically separated.
Intelligent networking
Open interfaces make it possible to integrate the profile and cross-cut saws into existing systems such as MDE (machine data acquisition), PDA (production data acquisition) or production control systems.
Do you have any questions about the Briganto saw? Here are answers!
1 Can the Profile and CrossCut saws be integrated into existing manufacturing processes?
Indeed. The CrossCut has open interfaces (e.g. OPC UA, Profibus, Profinet) and can be seamlessly integrated into systems such as: MDE (machine data acquisition), PDA (production data acquisition) or production control systems (MES). This allows production data to be evaluated in real time or processes to be controlled automatically.
2 What is the maximum cutting width that the Briganto CrossCut can handle?
The CrossCut can saw profiles or bars up to 650 mm wide. This makes it suitable for particularly wide or multiple adjacent stacked profiles.
3 What is the maximum height of the workpieces?
The machine processes material with a maximum cutting height of 250 mm. With this feature, cutting through solid materials or sizable cross-sections becomes straightforward.
4 What is the weight capacity for profile layers?
The maximum permissible total layer weight is 110 kg per meter. This is relevant for applications where several profiles are cut next or on top of each other at the same time.
5 What is the maximum length of the material?
The maximum material length can be customized. Briganto is able to engineer the machine to accommodate the client's particular specifications, such as requirements for processing exceptionally long bars in extrusion operations.
6 How powerful is the saw motor of the Briganto Profile and CrossCut?
The machine has a powerful 38 kW saw motor. With this high level of performance, even solid materials can be cut both efficiently and accurately.
7 What feed rates are possible?
The saw feed is adjustable between 0.1 m/min and 80 m/min. This allows the cutting speed to be optimally adapted to different materials and cross-sections, e.g. for fine saw cuts on thin-walled profiles or fast saw cuts on solid material.
8 What is the cutting accuracy of the CrossCut profile and cross-cut saws in width?
The tolerance for the cutting width is ± 0.1 mm over the entire cutting width of 650 mm. This guarantees maximum precision even with wide profiles.
9 What is the cutting height tolerance?
The CrossCut achieves a tolerance of ± 0.05 mm with a cutting height of 100 mm. This is a decisive advantage, especially for precise cuts for further processing (e.g. mechanical processing, assembly).
10 How precise is the positioning carriage?
The positioning carriage, which moves the material exactly into the desired cutting position, works with an accuracy of ± 0.05 mm. This precision ensures that even series cuts with very tight dimensional specifications are reliably adhered to.
11 Is the machine also suitable for very precise length or series cuts?
Yes. Thanks to the high positioning accuracy of ± 0.05 mm and the precise cutting and height tolerances, the Briganto profile and cross-cut saw is ideal for applications with strict dimensional specifications, e.g. in aluminum or non-ferrous metal construction, in the automotive industry, or for mechanical engineering applications.
